TIMELINE

Week 1

5/23/2019

  • Researched vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) and trajectory privacy attacks on autonomous driving

  • Wrote abstract

5/24/2019

  • Read through some existing research on dummy-based privacy protection schemes and privacy of location trajectory

  • Summarized the following research papers:

    • Spatiotemporal Correlation-Aware Dummy-Based Privacy Protection Scheme for Location-Based Services (Liu, Li, Li, Ma, and Ma)

    • Evaluating Location Privacy in Vehicular Communications and Applications (Corser, Fu, and Banihani)

Week 2

5/28/2019

  • Continued reading research papers on the drive

    • Summarized with Problem-Importance-Complexity

  • Defined background concepts on Trello page

Week 3

  • Learned the code

  • Started gathering information for our extension paper

Week 4

  • Ran simulations to test the accuracy of our counter measure

  • Tested anonymity with up to 400 nodes.

Week 5

  • Calculated the percentages of tracked vehicles for each simulation run

  • Extended testing - different mix zones / number of nodes/number of vehicles.

 Week 6 & 7

  • Downloaded all the simulators we used for our simulation validation process

  • Simulation validation process - SUMO / OMNET++

  • Continued gathering information for the TPAAD extension paper.

Week 8 - 10

  • Validation process continues

  • Designing our poster of the mid-sure symposium 2019.
